Hello World

I’m Vick, software engineer, former chef, human. How did I end up here? It was a crazy ride, and I’d love to tell the story. If you stick around, you’ll hear about it, and other stories from my life.

After graduating from General Assembly I became a software engineer. It was something I’d been passionate about since I was in high school, but life sometimes pulls you in other directions. After making a career as a chef, I decided to learn how to code and build apps. It isn’t always easy, but I love the problem solving that comes with the challenge. And when I get a feature working the way I like? It’s a cause for celebration. It’s something I’ve learned to do: celebrate the little victories.
