About

Hi, I'm Vick. I'm Catholic, a husband, a father, and much more. I've lived a lot of life, working my way up through professional kitchens, learning Ignatian discernment and discerning a life as a Jesuit Brother, distilling award winning spirits, and now designing and researching cutting edge AI systems. Occasionally I find the time to write about my experiences and random thoughts about faith and living it out between serving my family, community, and writing code.
As a software engineer, I helped build and maintain a datacenter management webapp and am now helping lead AI thought leadership and a team dedicated to AI development within Park Place Technologies LLC, a world leader in datacenter third party maintenance and monitoring, serving customers world wide.
Outside of work, I serve my parish through ministries dedicated to marriage, parish council, and the Knights of Columbus. I cofounded the Moberg Institute for Research and Education to explore the intersection of AI development and human dignity. I host The AI Catholic Podcast to examine AI through a Catholic lens and show how AI can and should be used ethically.
All of this to answer the question, how does one live life well? Come along and learn with me through The Measure of a Man.
